Our mission is to raise awareness in working with our customers, suppliers, and team members to make sustainable choices, implement eco-friendly practices, and reduce our impact on the environment.

We are committed to simultaneously look after the people and the planet by striving to use environmentally friendly products and practices...
  • We practice reducing, reusing and recycling
  • We reduce energy by using light sensors and timers in public areas and guest rooms
  • We utilize soy ink whenever possible in our marketing materials
  • We use recycled paper and FSC approved Paper. Our printer is a Forestry Stewardship partner
  • We grow several of our own products at Wine & Roses; rosemary, basil, thyme, mint, parsley, figs, lemons, limes
  • We utilize local farmers, purchase organic products, and procure bridgeable products
  • We utilize containers in the Restaurant from Bio-Plus Earth, made from 100% recycled paperboard, and endorsed by the “Green Restaurant Association”.
  • We have been awarded a Landscape Design Commendation for good land use and as an asset to the community from California Garden Clubs, Inc.
  • We are classified as Delta Responsible Qualified Landscape Professional. We follow The seven principles of a Delta Responsible Landscape: 1- Landscape locally, 2- nurture the soil, 3- wildlife habitat, 4- less to the landfill, 5- conserve water, 6- conserve energy, 7- consider Water/Air Quality.
  • We work with and utilize Fair Trade Companies for products in The Nest. A Fair Trade Company emphasizes environmentally friendly processes, offers fair wages, and provides healthy working environments and gender equality while promoting economic development in disadvantaged communities throughout the world.
  • We proudly use and recommend Aveda products in the Spa. Empowered by its unique Mission, Aveda believes that authentic beauty is one that works in harmony with the greater web of life. It does not qualify as beauty if it hurts any of the diverse life forms that the best beauty artist of all, Nature, created. Authentic Beauty cares for the environment which we inherited from elders and will leave to generations that follow us.
